The Ministry of Health reported today that it is continuing to develop digital systems to support the regulation of the pharmaceutical sector through its PharmaGate system. The system is dedicated to registering and organizing the data of local and foreign pharmaceutical companies operating in Libya.
The system is an electronic portal that allows companies to register and submit their files remotely, reducing the need to visit the Ministry headquarters, saving time and effort, and enabling most registration stages to be completed electronically.
Attendance at the Ministry headquarters is limited to the final stages of the procedures to complete the final requirements and receive the license.

The system aims to create a central and unified database for companies, automate registration procedures, and organize technical and legal files. This contributes to facilitating review and follow-up processes, supporting contracting and supply procedures, enhancing transparency, and expediting transactions.
The system has already registered 131 local pharmaceutical companies and 53 foreign companies.
The Ministry said, currently, as part of the system's development phase, work is underway to add an electronic registration service for pharmaceutical products. This will expand the scope of digital transformation in the procedures for regulating the pharmaceutical sector and contribute to data standardization and facilitating the registration and monitoring of pharmaceutical products.
