The Libyan General Union of Chambers of Commerce reported yesterday that a high-level Libyan French economic meeting was held on the sidelines of 7th Ambition Africa Forum in Paris (18 to 19 November).
The General Union reported that, based on the principle of partnership and consolidating economic relations between Libya and France, discussions focused on developing economic relations, expanding cooperation across various sectors, exploring investment opportunities between the two countries, and facilitating the effective contribution of French investors to Libya’s reconstruction and sustainable economic development.
The meeting also addressed the important role of the Misrata Free Zone, which boasts a strategic location on the Mediterranean Sea, and a modern, integrated infrastructure designed to attract all types of investment and provide exceptional services to investors.
Both parties expressed their full readiness to facilitate and overcome obstacles related to the movement of businesspeople between France and Libya.
MoU signed between MFZ and Business France
During a visit to the Élysée Palace, at the invitation of Paul Solar, Special Envoy of the French President to Libya, a memorandum of understanding and cooperation was signed between Misrata Free Zone and Business France.
The General Union reported that the signing comes within the framework of supporting the Tripoli Libyan government’s efforts to strengthen economic diplomacy and attract quality investments to Libya, thereby solidifying its presence on the international stage.

– The Director General of the Misrata Free Zone
– The President of the Libyan-French Chamber of Commerce
