The Ambassador of the Republic of Somalia to Libya visited the headquarters of Libya’s General Union of Chambers of Commerce, where he was received by the Chairman, the Union's Advisors, the Director General, and several officials and staff.

The meeting began with the Chairman reviewing the Union's most prominent activities and its role in supporting the private sector and strengthening economic and trade relations with various countries.

For his part, the Ambassador, the Union reported, presented an overview of the economic potential and resources of the Republic of Somalia, expressing his desire to open new horizons for economic and trade cooperation between Libya and Somalia, particularly in ​​livestock exports to Libya, given Somalia's abundant livestock resources.

Both sides emphasized the importance of developing mutual economic cooperation and establishing direct communication channels between the Libyan and Somali Chambers, which would contribute to strengthening trade and investment partnerships between the business communities of the two countries.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the importance of exchanging visits, economic delegations, and businessmen was emphasized, as well as working to strengthen economic and trade relations between Libya and Somalia, reflecting the depth of fraternal relations and opening broader horizons for cooperation between the two countries.
