Sirte and BACB to improve cooperation

Mustafa Hammad, Chairman of Sirte Oil Company said, “The year 2024-2025 was a year of transformation and achievement, with crude oil production increasing from 102,000 to 110,000 barrels per day by the end of July 2025, the highest rate the company has reached in more than twenty years.”

Hammad was speaking at Sirte Oil and Gas Company’s annual technical meeting for production and reserve development for 2025 at its headquarters in Marsa el Brega. The meeting aimed to monitor and evaluate technical performance and review the most prominent projects and programmes completed during the past period.

Hammad pointed to upcoming strategic goals, saying: “Today, we look forward with confidence to implementing an ambitious plan targeting 126,000 barrels per day by the end of December 2025, God willing, provided the necessary budgets are approved to complete drilling, maintenance, and development projects.”

In his speech, he addressed several technical and environmental topics, emphasizing that this year witnessed the implementation of development plans covering several reservoirs and fields, in addition to the launch and connection of new fields to production, and the successful drilling of horizontal wells using modern technologies. He also noted significant progress in supporting projects, including the implementation of strategic projects to feed operating wells with submersible electric pumps, while securing the necessary energy sources to enhance operational efficiency and stability.
