Sirte Oil and Gas Production and Processing Company successfully completed the drilling of 17 development wells and brought 44 previously inactive wells back into production.
These efforts contributed to raising output to approximately 116,000 barrels of oil per day—the highest production rate achieved by the company during the period in question—thanks to the NOC’s ongoing support and the dedication of the company’s workforce across various sites.
The figures were revealed during National Oil Corporation’s (NOC) review of the operational results of the Sirte Oil and Gas Production and Processing Company, as well as its plans to increase production and develop infrastructure, during its annual technical and financial meeting for 2026.
The meeting was held at Sirte Oil’s ’s headquarters in Marsa El Brega. The session aimed to monitor the implementation of operational plans and evaluate performance for the period spanning the second half of 2025 through June 30, 2026.
During the meeting it was also noted that work is underway to finalize the development of the NC 216 area and bring it online in the near future, which will further increase production rates.
Additionally, the company continues to invest in gas system upgrades to support the national economy and is proceeding with infrastructure projects and the development of its operational facilities.
Concluding the meeting, the NOC’s officials reaffirmed their continued support for Sirte Company, emphasizing the importance of accelerating strategic projects, boosting investment in the gas sector, and sustaining maintenance and development programs.
These efforts aim to increase production rates, ensure long-term sustainability, and achieve the NOC’s objectives of supporting the national economy.
