The Libyan Industry Union (LIU) announced last Saturday (4 January) that it will be organising the “Annual Forum of the Libyan Industry Union” on 27 January at the headquarters of the Industrial Research Centre in Tajoura, under the banner “We meet to Compete”.
The LIU, as the main umbrella for private sector manufacturers in Libya, says it works to improve and increase local manufacturing to make a strong contribution to the national economy (through job creation and earning hard currency through exports) and supplying the needs of the local economy.
It says this can only be done by working with the government and institutions and affiliated bodies related to the private industrial sector through direct meetings and dialogue in order to demonstrate the difficulties and problems facing private manufacturers. This, it says, is the aim of its Annual Forum.
