Tripoli’s Al-Hadba Al-Khadra General Hospital announced last Monday (10 June) that it had started for the first time diagnostic and therapeutic peripheral catheterization operations under the supervision of the Therapeutic Services Development Authority.
These operations started on Monday with two catheterization operations performed on two patients suffering from chronic blockages in the arteries of the lower extremities, under the supervision of vascular surgery consultants.
The hospital said it hoped that these operations will continue at a pace that suits the needs of its patients.
These operations are part of the Tripoli Libyan government’s broader plan to localise healthcare rather than send citizens abroad for various operations.
