Minister of Transport participates in the opening ceremony of the Future of Aviation Conference

Libya’s Tripoli based Minister of Transport, Mohamed Shahoubi, and his accompanying delegation, attended the opening ceremony of the Future of Aviation Conference (20-22 May). The event, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, included the wide participation of ministers of transport, heads of civil aviation institutions, international organizations and companies concerned with international civil aviation affairs.‎

‎Several working sessions held
On the sidelines of the conference, several working sessions were held with participants in the conference, including a meeting with the Tunisian Minister of Transport and his accompanying delegation, the Director General of the International Air Transport Association for Africa and the Middle East, the Director General of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Regional Office for the Middle East, the Chairman and Secretary General of the Executive Council of ICAO, in addition to a number of civil aviation leaders.

‎During these meetings, ways to encourage the return of air traffic to Libyan airports, provide technical support to the Civil Aviation Authority, and initiate the implementation of joint initiatives aimed at speeding up the treatment of all requirements for the return of air traffic to Libyan airspace without any restrictions – were discussed.‎
