Libyan Railroads announced yesterday that its Chairman, Saeed Salem Al-Kilani, along with his technical team, held a meeting on the same day with Dirk Chao, Regional Director for North and West Africa of the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC).
CCECC is a major state-owned multinational enterprise, headquartered in Beijing, specializing in international project contracting, civil engineering design, and infrastructure development. Established in 1979, it is a key subsidiary of the Fortune 500 company China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC).
Libyan Railroads said the meeting was held to activate the Memorandum of Understanding signed during its delegation visit to China on 6 July 2025.
Formation of a joint committees to negotiate signed contracts
During the meeting, it was agreed to expedite the formation of joint committees between the two parties to negotiate and discuss the mechanism for activating the contracts signed between them.
