Libya’s Arabian Gulf Oil Company (AGOCO) reported yesterday that it Chairman, Mohamed Ben Shatwan, held a meeting on the same day at the office with Ahmed Abdullah, Vice Chairman of U.S.-based company BlueVee Energy - which specializes in engineering studies and the manufacturing of equipment for gas processing and oil refineries.
The discussion focused primarily on mechanisms and methods for upgrading the Tobruk and Sarir refineries, aligning with the AGOCO’s comprehensive strategy to modernize the refining sector's infrastructure and enhance its operational efficiency. Both parties also explored prospects for technical cooperation and leveraging the advanced technologies and global expertise possessed by the U.S. company in the fields of gas processing equipment and oil refinery manufacturing.
AGOCO said this meeting is part of ongoing, concerted efforts to boost the oil sector's production capabilities and actively contribute to meeting the domestic market's essential needs for fuels and petroleum derivatives, thereby supporting energy supply stability and fulfilling national development and economic requirements.
Salem Bourqia, Director of AGOCO’s Refineries Department, and Misbah Al-Zahawi, Director of the Technical Affairs Department, were also present at the meeting.
