Following the announcement by Libya’s privately-owned MedSky airlines of the resumption of direct flights to and from Madrid from 21 April and the listing by Dusseldorf Airport of direct flights with Libya from 17 May, MedSky CEO, Siraj Furjani, has anticipated the resumption of flights to London.
Furjani, in a social media post, emphasised that resuming direct flights between Libya and the United Kingdom is no longer merely an option, but an economic necessity, a humanitarian imperative, and a fundamental pillar for supporting investment.
He affirmed that the return of direct flights between Tripoli and London, and the opening of the way for Benghazi to rejoin this network, will represent a strategic step towards restoring Libya to its rightful place on the international air transport map.
“God willing, soon together we will move towards open skies, opening the most important and challenging route, the United Kingdom, to achieve a connection that will revitalize Libya with the peoples of the world and international economies.”, he added.
