Benghazi Chamber participates in workshop on the blue economy

Benghazi Chamber of Commerce reported yesterday that it held an important meeting with a member of the Chadian Chamber of Commerce and the Chadian Business Council together with representative of Emaar Libya Holding Company and coordinator of Chadian Libyan relations at Emaar Libya Holding Company.

Benghazi Chamber said this comes as part of its efforts to broaden the horizons of regional economic cooperation.

Enhancing transit trade through Libyan territory
During the meeting, discussions focused on exploring avenues for trade cooperation between Libya and Chad, as well as mechanisms to enhance transit trade through Libyan territory. This aims to support the movement of goods between the Sahel and Central African countries via Libya.

Strengthen Libya’s position as a regional economic hub
Benghazi Chamber said these steps align with the Benghazi based Libyan government’s objectives to encourage transit trade and diversify the country’s revenue streams by activating logistical corridors, streamlining procedures, and developing the trade environment. This will strengthen Libya’s position as a regional economic hub, it added.
