Criminal proceedings initiated against 141 members of the Central Security Agency and Stability Support Apparatus, and security units associated with them

‎The Attorney General’s Office reported yesterday that the investigating authority has initiated criminal proceedings against some employees of the Central Security and Stability Support Services, and the security units associated with them.‎

‎The Attorney General’s Office reported that the Committee to Investigate Violations assigned to the members of the two security agencies has completed the necessary procedures for 121 incidents within the mandate of the Commission.

These procedures resulted in the establishment of elements of the following incidents: murder, torture, kidnapping and arbitrary detention, and revealed that the responsibility of 141 defendants who are under prosecution under arrest warrants issued against them was established.‎

‎In the context of the follow-up to the procedures relating to the search for missing persons, the Commission was able to identify the identities of five persons whose bodies were found in storage refrigerators.

Within the framework of the same preliminary investigation, the Public Prosecution began examining the regularity of the evidence frameworks regarding the violations committed within the Abu Salim Municipality, the commission of which was attributed to unknown persons. The investigations began by listing the reports, and began hearing the statements of the arrested members of the apparatus, the commanders of the police stations, and those charged with conducting evidence in them, in preparation for resuming the investigation into them.
