The Attorney General’s Office announced last Thursday (23 July) that it has ordered the detention of the Director of the Al-Hadba Al-Khadra General Hospital, as well as the hospital officials responsible for medical supplies and the warehouse.

This follows an investigation into the removal of high-quality, safe medicines and medical supplies from the hospital pharmacy and their subsequent transfer to the warehouse designated for expired medical stock.

The Attorney General’s Office said, as the accused failed to provide a valid defence against the allegations, the investigating prosecutor ordered their remand in custody pending further investigation and proceeded to examine the motives behind the alleged offense.
