3,000 cartons of Schweppes soft drink rejected by FDCC at Egyptian border for short expiry date

Libya’s Food and Drugs Control Centre announced yesterday that it had rejected a shipment of 3,320 cartons of Schweppes lemon and mint soft drink.

The FDCC said the shipment was rejected due to the expiration of two-thirds of the period from the date of production.

The shipment originated from Egypt and was rejected at the Libyan Egyptian land border.
