London, 13 January 2021:
Libya’s Tripoli-based Economy Ministry is currently developing a website for the establishment of companies. The platform is being created in cooperation with Expertise France.
The e-regulations website includes a step-by-step guide that summarizes all the regulations and administrative procedures to complete to register a business in Libya.
This project is implemented in partnership with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
Expertise France reports that different procedures are being added depending on the type of company or activity to be registered.
For each set of procedures, the institutions involved, documents required, estimated cost and the duration of the whole process – will be listed. The aim is to make it easier for entrepreneurs and encourage them to consider registering their companies.
The project has also produced a video describing how business owners can register their businesses in an easy and practical way.
This project aims to strengthen the capabilities of Libyan institutions in order to support small and medium-sized companies and improve their business services, Expertise France explained.
