Tripoli, 14 October 2015:
A group of House of Representatives has rejected UNSMIL’s GNA deal as “morally and legally ridiculous”.
In . . .[restrict]a harsh statement released last night, the representatives accused the UN envoy Bernardino Leon, of “violating the constitutional declaration as well as the dialogue draft and its appendixes”.
They said that the putting into effect Leon’s proposals would be “considered morally and legally ridiculous because it does disrespect the will of Libyan people which is represented by the HoR in the dialogue.”
It is unclear how many HoR members are behind this outright rejection. The House is not due to debate the agreement and the proposed government until Monday. [/restrict]
