Benghazi, 10 July 2015:
Ajdabiya has taken delivery of much-needed medical supplies provided by the International Committee of the Red . . .[restrict]Cross.
The shortage of drugs, medical consumables and fully-functioning equipment is an enduring problem for a Libyan health service, which even in the best of times, struggled to give decent medical care.
With battlefield wounds adding to normal patient demands, the arrival in Ajdabiya of a large consignment of medicines and supplies sent by the ICRC has been welcomed by officials at the town’s Mohamed Magarief hospital.
However, while the consignment includes first aid kits, it also contains a supply of body bags.
