Tripoli, 8 July 2015:
A Misratan officer died this evening in his booby-trapped car, as he drove away from . . .[restrict]his local mosque.
Colonel Taher Al-Wesh, said to be an intelligence officer, was killed instantly in the blast, which wounded half a dozen bystanders. He had just left the Al-Aayeb mosque in Benghazi Street after Ramandan night-time Taraweeh prayers. Six others were wounded in the blast.
Al-Wesh had earlier been an assistant to Ismail Shukri, the spokesman for the Shurooq (Sunrise) Operation, which was created by Libya Dawn to seize the eastern oilfields and terminals late last year. [/restrict]
