Tripoli, 19 April 2013:
The bullet fired into a plane yesterday as it was about to land at Tripoli . . .[restrict]International Airport entered through the cockpit and then hit a water tank shot in the toilet behind it, a police report issued today has stated. It added that the bullet came from a Kalashnikov semi-automatic rifle.
The shot was fired while the Buraq Boeing 737 with 155 passengers aboard was on its final approach to the runway.
It is thought that the shot was fired by a reveller at a wedding in Qasr Ben Ghashir, next to the airport. However, the police say it is impossible to determine where precisely the it was fired. [/restrict]
