The Minister of Industry and Minerals, Mohamed Abdelkader, accompanied by the Undersecretary, Mustafa Al-Samou, held a meeting last Tuesday, with several representatives of Chinese companies, in the presence of Khaled Rashid, Secretary of the High Committee for Supervising Libyan-Chinese Cooperation.
Mr. Fan, representing Jiangsu Desheng Construction and Industrial Engineering Co., Ltd., and Mr. Yang, Vice President of China Building Materials Industry Corporation for Foreign Cooperation, participated in the meeting.
The parties discussed ways to enhance industrial and investment cooperation between the two sides and explored opportunities for implementing industrial and development projects in Libya.
Localising industries and transferring technical and technological expertise
The meeting addressed mechanisms for localising industries and transferring technical and technological expertise, as well as benefiting from the Chinese experience in infrastructure and manufacturing industries. This aims to support the industrial sector, boost local production, and drive economic development.
Building strategic partnerships
The attendees emphasised the importance of building strategic partnerships that contribute to developing the Libyan industrial sector and opening new horizons for investment and cooperation, serving the interests of both countries.
