Benghazi Chamber of Commerce reported yesterday that it had held a bilateral meeting with the Moroccan Confederation of Exporters in Casablanca, Morocco, last Tuesday 23 September.
The Chamber said the meeting comes within the framework of strengthening economic cooperation and opening new horizons for trade.
It was represented at the meeting by Munim Naji Al-Saiti, its Acting Chairman, and Ramadan Tawfiq Boubatana, Director of the Economic Administration and International Relations.
The Chamber reported that the meeting addressed ways to develop trade relations between the two countries, where it was agreed to:
• Organize the Libyan Moroccan Forum in Benghazi after the upcoming month of Ramadan.
• Discuss mechanisms to facilitate visas for Libyan businessmen to visit Morocco.
• Study opportunities for cooperation in the pharmaceutical, food, natural oils, building materials, and electricity sectors.
• Coordinate to overcome the difficulties facing the export of Libyan dates to the Moroccan market.
The Chamber’s delegation also extended an official invitation to representatives of the Confederation to visit Benghazi before the end of this year, to strengthen partnership and cooperation.
