Libya and Iraq discussed the possibility of signing bilateral agreements aimed at developing and improving the quality of health services.
The news came out of a meeting held yesterday between the Tripoli based Deputy Prime Minister and Acting Minister of Health, Ramadan Abu Janah, and the Chargé d’affaires of the Embassy of Iraq in Libya, Ahmed Al-Sahaf, to discuss aspects of joint cooperation in the health field between the two countries.
Specifically, the meeting dealt with:
- Ways to strengthen partnership in the health sector.
- The exchange of medical expertise.
- Cooperation in the fields of training and rehabilitation.
- The recruitment of Iraqi medical personnel to support health institutions in Libya.
- The possibility of signing bilateral agreements aimed at developing health services and improving their quality.
Abu Janah stressed the keenness of the Ministry of Health to enhance cooperation with various countries, and to benefit from successful experiences in the health sector, in a way that contributes to raising the efficiency of the health system and improving the quality of services provided to citizens.
