Libya’s state National Oil Corporation reported yesterday that Waha Oil Company has rebuilt the 16th crude oil storage tank with a capacity of 500,000 barrels at the Sidra Oil Port. The storage tank had been completely destroyed by the wars that the area witnessed over the past years.
The NOC reported that last Thursday (5 December), the reservoir was inaugurated by filling it with crude oil to enter service again to contribute to Libya’s ‘‘epic boom in oil production.’’
The reconstruction of the reservoir was carried out by a specialised local company with national cadres – for the first time in the history of the oil industry in Libya.
