Organized by the Tripoli Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture and in the presence of the Indonesian Ambassador, the Minister of Marine Resources, the directors of the International Cooperation Office and the National Aquaculture Project of the Ministry a workshop entitled “Aquaculture, Maritime Fishing and the Blue Economy: Reality and Hope” was held at the Chamber Monday
In his speech, the Minister of Marine Resources, Adel Sultan, reviewed many of the obstacles and difficulties facing the marine wealth sector in Libya, especially those related to the aquaculture and fishing project.
He called on businesses and investors to benefit from the Indonesian experience in developing and investing in the field of fishing and aquaculture to ensure job opportunities and maintain food security.
In contrast, the Ministry of Marine Resources and the Indonesian Ministry of Planning expressed their desire to cooperate with the Libyan government in the fields of marine fishing and fish farming through technology transfer and training, in addition to the possibility of partnership in expanding the base of blue economy activities between the two countries.
