The National Oil Corporation (NOC) reported that its International Cooperation Office organized a technical workshop yesterday at the NOC's Tripoli headquarters.
The event was attended by the NOC’s Drilling Department, representatives from the drilling departments of its subsidiaries, and a representative from the Egyptian company EGYDRILL Free Zone, alongside its partners—manufacturers and technology providers—from Norway.
The NOC said this initiative aligns with its efforts to enhance technical cooperation and leverage modern technologies within the oil and gas sector.
The workshop featured an introductory presentation on EGYDRILL Free Zone, a company specializing in the supply of equipment and the provision of services, engineering solutions, and technologies related to oil well drilling, workover, completion, and operations. It also showcased a range of modern technologies and solutions offered by the company’s Norwegian partners.
Extensive technical discussions took place between the company’s representatives and specialists from the NOC and its subsidiaries. These discussions focused on evaluating the presented solutions and assessing their potential application to meet the operational and technical needs of Libya’s oil and gas sector.
This workshop is part of the NOC International Cooperation Office’s ongoing efforts to establish communication channels with specialized international companies, introduce global technologies and expertise, and explore technical cooperation opportunities that support and advance the sector's operations.
