Kremia wholesale fruit and vegetable market announced earlier this month that it is to reopen during the month of Ramadan. The market used to be Libya’s premier wholesale and retail fruit and vegetable market.
This is not the first time that the authorities have announced their intention to reopen after nearly a decade of closure.
The market authorities announced that they will offer an initial five-month rent free period with rental priority given to youth and those of low income.
The market used to be a huge hub of activity receiving fruit ang vegetables from all over Libya, including the east and south. It resumption will do much to boost the economy.
