Tripoli, 28 October 2021:
The Libyan Airports Authority (LAA) announced last Sunday that it has commenced the maintenance projects at Ghat Airport.
This comes as part of the efforts of the Government of National Unity to improve the services provided to travellers, the LAA said.
It added that the procedures for handing over work sites were completed at the Ghat Airport administration headquarters to implement a number of maintenance projects contracted by the LAA, including:
- The maintenance project of the air control tower.
- The maintenance and modification of the passenger terminal.
- The maintenance of the civil defence building.
The LAA said the company contracted to implement the project, (Tala’a Al-Wadi General Contracting Company) has already started the preliminary work of cleaning and removal after it received the targeted work sites.
