London, 18 May 2021:

Tunis Air finally achieved its aim of restarting its service to Libya yesterday with a flight to Benghazi’s Benina airport followed by a later flight to Tripoli’s Mitiga airport.

The resumption comes after a seven year hiatus and makes Tunis Air the first foreign carrier to resume flights to Libya.

Flights were initially scheduled for 27 April but were postponed until 15 May due to the increased rate of spread of the Coronavirus in Tunisia.
