The HMS Enterprise, the British Royal Navy survey vessel, has evacuated another 93 individuals from Libya. . . .[restrict] The ship carrying mostly Brits, as well as Irish, Danes and Norwegians, arrived in Malta on Wednesday morning.
According to the British Foreign Office as many as 200 British nationals have now left Libya with assistance; “many others” have left by their own means.
British Ambassador Michael Aron tweeted yesterday that British diplomats had now left ?Libya. “The British Embassy is temporarily closed. We will come back as soon as possible.” Aron was one of the last diplomats to leave Libya during this current crisis. The Italians are still present, however.
