Benghazi, 19 July 2014:

Two Egyptians were killed in the Benghazi district of Bouatni in the early . . .[restrict]hours of this morning after mortar fire hit their home.

Head of Saiqa Special Forces Investigations Unit Fadel Al-Hassi told the Libya Herald that six mortars were fired at the nearby Saiqa 21 Battalion headquarters but missed, hitting the house of the Egyptian nationals and killing them.

The two men have been identified as Ahmed Rajab Tawfeek and Rabia Mohamed Salem. Their bodies were taken to Benghazi Medical Centre (BMC).

Hassi said that another Egyptian was left in a critical condition today after his throat was partly cut during a mugging. He was found in a petrol station on Benghzi’s Airport Eoad by Saiqa Special Forces who rushed him to BMC where he is receiving treatment.
