Tripoli, 26 April 2014:
Saadi Qaddafi will not be appearing in court tomorrow, when his brother Saif and 37 regime-era . . .[restrict]officials will stand trial.
“He will not be in court because he is still under investigation,” Head of the Investigations Department for the Attorney General’s Office and its spokesman, Sadiq Al-Sour told the Libya Herald.
He said that because Saadi was facing a special criminal case, investigations were expected to take a long time. This criminal case is understood to be the killing of footballer and coach Bashir Al-Rayani in 2006.
Saif would appear in court via satellite link from the Zintan prison where he is held, Sour added. [/restrict]
