Benghazi, 29 March 2014:
In yet another attempted assassination, the former head judge of the court in Ajdabiya, Taufiq Nayif . . .[restrict]Alhasi, was shot in the face and shoulder last night by drive-by gunmen. The attempted assassination took place in the city’s Hadaiq district.
It is not know if the murder attempt is related to events in Ajdabiya or is part of the general lack of security in Benghazi.
It is reported that the 63-year-old has been taken to Tunisia for treatment.
In a similar incident early this morning, gunmen attempted to kill Saiqa member Khaled Mohamed Al-Urfi. He was shot in the hand in Hawari district but is recovering.
