Tripoli, 21 January:
At least two more British trade missions are slated for this year, after what organisers, the London-based Middle East . . .[restrict]Association, described as a successful trade visit last December.
The first will be a five-day mission beginning on 3 March. The second from 21 April, will coincide with both Tripoli’s Oil & Gas and Infrastructure exhibitions, where a British pavilion is due to showcase the official UK presence.
The Middle East Association said that it is also planning further trade visits later in the year.
“The Libyan market offers enormous future potential for British companies across all sectors,” said Mélusine de Chazal, Head of Projects & Government Relations at the MEA, who co-ordinated the December trade mission.
“Now is the time for British companies to show a presence, establish relationships and explore opportunities, as Libya sets out its plans for developing its economy and rebuilding its infrastructure.” [/restrict]
