Tripoli, April 16:
Money and jewelry belonging to residents in Sirte are being returned by the Abu-Salim Martyrs Brigade from Derna.
The brigade . . .[restrict]started to return the valuables to their rightful owners on Sunday.
The money and jewelry was taken last October during the liberation of Sirte. At the time the owners were given written receipts and the promise that their goods would be returned to them. Most thought that they would never see their valuables again.
At a special meeting attended by prominent Sirte figures as well as officials of the local council, goods worth LD 400,000 were handed back to their owners.
