Tripoli, March 15: A Libyan who worked with the civil defense team in Bani Walid was killed today when an unexploded . . .[restrict]ordinance blew up, according to members of a de-mining group. The man’s identity has not been made public.
An Estonian mine clearance expert, Kaido Keerdo, was killed at the beginning of the month when a Chinese/Israeli cluster bomb blew up at Dafniyah.
There have been reports of other Libyans, including children, being killed and wounded by exploding mines laid by Qaddafi forces during last year’s revolution.
