Benghazi, 22 February 2014:
Two more security personnel have been killed in separate incidents in Benghazi.
A soldier died while undergoing surgery . . .[restrict]at the Hawari hospital this morning after an explosive device placed under his car was detonated near Benghazi Medical University, according to a source at Hawari Hospital. He has been identified as Faraj Mohammed Abu Khashim.
In a separate incident, a member of Benghazi’s Security Directorate, Maher Hassan Al-Shakmak, was killed on Thursday evening, in the city’s Laithi district. A source at Jalaa Hospital said he was shot by unknown assailants and pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.
An unexploded bomb was also found on Thursday evening in a Benghazi school which had been used as a polling station in the recent elections. Spokesman for Benghazi Joint Security Room Ibrahim Al-Sharaa said the bomb, left in a bag, had been found in Badr Al-Kobra school in Benghazi’s Al-Majouri area. [/restrict]
