Tripoli, 2 September 2013:
An Italian high-level technical delegation is . . .[restrict]due to arrive in Tripoli tomorrow, 3 September, for a three-day visit to the Libyan capital.
Coordinated by the Italian Ministry of Public Administration and Simplification and supported by the Italian Foreign Ministry and the Italian Embassy in Libya, the delegation will comprise the President of the Italian Public Administration National School, the President of FORMEZ (Centre for the Modernisation of the Italian Public Administration), the President of COSVAP (Fishing Productive District of Sicily) and the Vice-President of the Italian Business Association in Sicily (CONFINDUSTRIA).
The delegation will be offering training programmes aimed at strengthening both public administration and private capabilities. According to an Italian embassy statement, the visit come with in the framework of Italian support for the full success of the current transitional phase.
The training on offer, covering a wide range of sectors, will be particularly addressed at Libyan civil servants who directly manage and implement specific public policies. This include cultural heritage management, SME policies, public finance management, the fight against corruption, the management of migration flows and migrant workers.
