The new administration of Libya’s Tripoli based Military Industrialization Organisation announced last Saturday (14 February) the signing of a strategic industrial cooperation agreement with a leading Turkish company specializing in advanced industries. It refrained from naming the Turkish company.

A new phase of development
It said this comes as part of its newly adopted strategic vision and is a significant step to lay the foundation for a new phase of development, modernization, technology transfer, training, and the enhancement of national industry capabilities according to the highest professional standards.

The agreement was signed by Major Walid Al-Fitouri, Deputy Director of the Military Industrialization Organisation in the presence of Major General Abdul Salam Al-Zoubi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defence.

The Military Industrialisation Organisation said Zoubiplayed a pivotal and essential role in the success of this agreement through his direct support and meticulous follow-up at all stages of coordination, reflecting his belief in the importance of empowering national industry and strengthening its independence.

It added that this achievement culminates a full year of continuous work since the new administration assumed its duties, during which clear foundations were laid for revitalizing and developing the industrial infrastructure, raising technical efficiency, and opening avenues for strategic partnerships based on knowledge and expertise transfer, all in service of the nation’s best interests.

In this context, it reported that the Asbea Industrial Complex is undergoing a remarkable transformation in terms of upgrading and equipping, with production gradually commencing. This signals a strong return for a national industrial facility that will contribute to supporting the national economy and meeting the needs of the state and its citizens, within a comprehensive vision for efficient and sustainable production.
