The National Oil Corporation’s (NOC) Exploration Director held a technical meeting last Thursday (27 November) with the General Manager of Puna Oil Company (Libya Branch) and the company’s Exploration Manager, in the presence of the NOC’s Reserves Development Director and several technical specialists from both sides.

The meeting, held at the NOC’s headquarters in Tripoli, focused on discussing the company’s exploration activities for 2025 and its planned programmes for 2026 in the Murzuq Basin.

The company also confirmed its commitment to fulfilling its remaining exploration obligations by drilling six exploratory wells over the next three years.

PUNA, which stands for PGNiG Upstream North Africa B.V., is a subsidiary of the ORLEN Group, which is a major Polish oil and gas company that acquired PGNiG.
