Sirte and BACB to improve cooperation

Libya’s Sirte Oil Company announced yesterday that it had held an extensive meeting on the same day at its Marsa Al-Brega headquarters which brought together several of its specialists and representatives of Schlumberger Company (now called SLB) to discuss the progress of work on a group of existing projects in the company’s fields.‎

‎Accelerating pace of completion of projects
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the latest developments of the projects implemented by Schlumberger, discussed technical and operational challenges, in addition to discussing ways to enhance cooperation and provide the necessary support to accelerate the pace of completion according to the approved time plans.‎

‎Implementing separation systems to increase production
The meeting focused on discussing the presentation made by Schlumberger specialists, which included a proposal to implement separation systems in the south-east of Zilten to ensure that pressure is maintained and production increased.‎

‎Part of Sirte’s wider policy objectives
Sirte Oil says this meeting comes in the context of its periodic follow-up of the projects implemented in the company’s fields, in continuation of previous meetings and field visits to the fields, its keenness to strengthen partnerships with specialized international companies, and to continue developing the technical and operational structure at various production sites.‎
