30 LBC businessmen to attend Libyan Omani Business Forum on 22-23 April – cooperation agreement to be signed

The Libyan Business Council (LBC) reported yesterday that more than 30 of its businessmen, headed by its chairman, will participate in the Libyan Omani Businessmen Forum to be held in the Omani capital Muscat from April 22 to 23 April.

The event is being held in cooperation with the Omani Businessmen Council and the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI).

During the forum, the LBC reports, a cooperation agreement will be signed between the two councils, and meetings will be held between Libyan and Omani businessmen in various fields.

The second day will include field visits to the Samail Industrial Zone to learn about the Omani experience in managing and developing industrial zones.

The visit programme also includes a meeting with officials from the Invest in Oman Authority to learn about their management of investment prospects and encourage and facilitate procedures for investors in the Sultanate.

The LBC says registration of any investment project in the Sultanate takes only one hour, including all procedures.

It will be recalled, and as reported by Libya Herald, the Omani Libyan Business Forum was previously planned for 12 to 13 February.

The LBC says the forum will cover industry, investment, and the import and export sectors to enhance opportunities for trade and investment cooperation It aims to explore areas of partnership between companies and institutions at the private sector level in the two countries and open new horizons to support development and economic diversification.
