The Libyan Business Council (LBC) signed a cooperation agreement last Monday (20 April) with the Indonesian Business Council today, under the auspices of the Indonesian Embassy in Libya and in cooperation with the Jakarta Chamber of Commerce.
The signing took place during an official event held on the margins of the 52nd Tripoli International Fair being held in Tripoli from 16 to 21 April.
The LBC said the agreement aims to develop economic and trade relations between Libya and Indonesia and to open practical avenues for cooperation between the private sectors of both countries, particularly in the areas of investment, industry, and retail.
The event included bilateral (B2B) meetings between Libyan and Indonesian companies, during which partnership opportunities, trade cooperation, and joint projects in several sectors of mutual interest were discussed.
A proposal was also put forward to establish a permanent exhibition of Indonesian products and investments in Libya. This exhibition would showcase investment opportunities, promote Indonesian products, facilitate networking between Libyan and Indonesian companies, and enhance their presence in the Libyan market.
The agreement stipulates the establishment of a joint Libyan-Indonesian Business Council, an entity that the LBC Board of Directors had previously approved to be a platform for organizing communication between businessmen, supporting joint initiatives, and following up on cooperation opportunities between the two sides.
