Libyan Export Promotion Centre discusses with Italian Chamber export of olive oil, dates and tuna to Italy and Europe

(Logo: LEPC).

‎The Libyan Export Promotion Centre (LEPC) announced yesterday that the Libyan International Laboratory for Olive Oil, with the latest capabilities, is ready to receive samples of olive oil and international accreditation.‎

It will be recalled that in November 2024 Libya assumed, from 1 January 2025, the presidency of the United Nations International Olive Council for one year.

The news came out of the International Olive Council’s 120th session held in Madrid, Spain that month in which Libya was participating.

‎Export accreditation
More importantly, the Madrid meeting had granted Libya the accreditation certificate for sensory and chemical laboratories, thus making Libya among the countries that can grant an accredited certificate for exporting olive oil to all countries of the world.‎
