Benghazi Chamber of Commerce participated in the ceremony celebrating the arrival of the first ship and resumption of Messina Shipping Line to Benghazi Port’s Jiliana Free Port last Tuesday 2 July.
Transit trade to Africa
Benghazi Chamber said this comes because of the success witnessed by the Jiliana free zone in the transit trade to Africa in the supply and export of African products.
Transit shipments
The Chamber also reported that according to the customs procedures from the Libyan Customs Authority and the success in the sea transit shipment, demand for the Jiliana free zone in the port of Benghazi for many companies led to the return of shipping lines.
Benghazi reconstruction drive
Benghazi Chamber said Benghazi is also witnessing reconstruction work which has also led to the request of new shipping lines to enter Benghazi Port’s Jiliana Free Zone.
