LARMO calls for easing of sanctions on assets after US$ 1 billion annual loss

The Libyan Asset Recovery and Management Office (LARMO) reported today that it had held a meeting with the Tripoli based Libyan Air Force last Thursday (1 February).

The meeting, LARMO reported, comes pursuant to implementing the memorandum of understanding it had signed with the Libyan Air Force.

The meeting was attended by Mohamed Mensli, the Director General of LARMO, and General Engineer Emhmed Al-Saifawi Gogil, the Chief of the Libyan Air Force, along with Mohamed Al-Zarug, representing LARMO’s Mobile Assets Department.

During the meeting, the latest developments of the file of the C130 aircraft located at Ogma Aeronautical Industries Company in Lisbon, Portugal, the case of the 8 Aircraft in the US and the latest communication from the US state department as well as Lockheed Martin, were all discussed.

The latest developments in these cases were reviewed with the aim of solving any issues so these aircraft can be returned to Libya to enhance the country’s urgent needs.
