The Media Office of the National Oil Corporation (NOC) confirmed in an exclusive interview with Libya Herald that the Sirte Oil and Gas Production and Processing Company was able to re-enter well (E1-NC101), as well as well (J1-NC101) in exploration block (MN101) in the Murzuq Basin.

The NOC said the wells showed positive results in the final oil productivity tests, which are greatly encouraged by the submersible pumps that were lowered into the wells.

The final tests were conducted in preparation for connecting these wells to production and conducting a long-term production test for the purpose of evaluating and knowing the behaviour of the oil reservoir. Laboratory and reservoir tests are also being conducted to recalculate the stock and oil reserves of the reservoir.

This, the NOC Media Office confirmed, will lead to an increase in the production of the Sirte Company and thus an increase in the quantities produced of Libyan oil within the framework of the implementation of the NOC plan and strategy to reach the production ceiling of 2 million barrels per day before 2025.

The NOC Media Office noted that these results were achieved with the continuous support received by Sirte Oil Company to achieve positive results and reach oil and gas production rates in accordance with the prepared plans and strategies.
