Misrata Free Zone reported yesterday that work is continuing on the maintenance of the concrete structure of the grain silos and the service buildings attached to it.
It revealed that the maintenance is the first the silos have received since their construction, which began in the mid-seventies.
The silos contain 12 main cells, each 12 meters in diameter and 45 meters high, with a total capacity of 40,000 tons. The maintenance is expected to be completed within 5 months.
