China's Ambassador to Libya, Ma Shui Liang, affirmed his country's commitment to supporting the implementation of several promising projects and services between the two countries.
This came during his meeting in Tripoli last Monday 6 July, with Khaled Rashid, Secretary of the Supreme Committee for Supervising Libyan-Chinese Cooperation
During the meeting, the development of Libyan-Chinese relations across various sectors was discussed.
The Ambassador expressed his appreciation to the Chairman and members of the Supreme Committee for their efforts in advancing Libyan-Chinese relations.
Direct air cargo route with China
The Ambassador affirmed the imminent launch of a direct air cargo route between the two countries.
Increasing shipping service frequency
Additionally, he noted plans to increase maritime shipping frequency to one voyage per week to boost trade volume between the two friendly nations and meet the growing demand for container shipping.
Chinese visas to be issued from Tripoli soon
The Ambassador also expressed the Embassy's desire to begin accepting visa applications at its mission in Tripoli as soon as possible.
Establishing Chinese language institute in Libya
Furthermore, both sides discussed enhancing cultural exchange between the two countries through the establishment of a Chinese language institute at a Libyan university.
