The Renewable Energy Holding Company reported that it had participated last Wednesday (17 June) in an expanded Tripoli meeting chaired by the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Abdul Latif Muhammad Al-Tahir, alongside local and international energy experts and Libyan commercial banks.

The meeting focused on establishing mechanisms to provide solar energy systems to farmers through Sharia-compliant Islamic Murabaha financing.

Represented by its Directors of Projects and Investment, the Company emphasized that integrating clean energy into agriculture will cut production costs and directly benefit citizens. They called for a comprehensive partnership between the Ministry, banks, and specialized firms to build a clear roadmap ensuring high-standard, sustainable projects.

This initiative aligns with the Company’s strategy to scale up renewable energy across vital sectors. The meeting concluded with an agreement to finalize an integrated technical and financial proposal to launch the programme soon, reinforcing the Company's role as a key partner in Libya's sustainable agricultural development.
